Tiananmen Square, Last Year

Amidst the hundreds of things I keep on my to-do list, one thing I still wish I could find time for is finishing getting all my photos together from my China Trip last year.  It was by far one of the most inspirational and eye-opening vacation’s I’ve ever taken.  We stopped by Tiananmen Square one of our first days there and here are a few of the photos I took that show how I best took in this amazing place.  Enjoy.

Photosynth is Browser Compliant

After a long and painful (for me at least) wait, photosynth finally works simply in the browser with no fuss.  When they announced it earlier in the year (around January I think) i couldn’t even get it working in IE.  I got all kinds of fun issues about my browser being unsupported.  Nothing like a Microsoft site not working in a Microsoft browser eh?  Anyhow, I’m looking forward to wasting a few hours on this later today and hopefully starting up a few of them.  Link’age to follow.

In other news: Flickr add face recognition
That reminds me that I need to pickup the new iLife package soon. Finally a good reason to use iPhoto with the geolocaiton & facial recog. features.  Seeing as google added it into their image search and now this, the i can see the trend beginning already.

Blurb: Photo Book Now

Recently I entered my Europe photos into Blurb’s Photo Book Now competition.  I’ll be at the awards ceremony in a few weekends up in the bay to check out all the other awesome books, but they have this people’s choice deal running now too.  If you’ve seen my shots and that book and liked it, I’d love for you to send a vote my way.

Anyone else submit a book for this competition?

I had really hoped I’d have the time to make one of my shots from China, but that’s not even close unfortunatley.  I’m hoping with some good luck to close a pretty big project I’m pitching for soon so i’ll have a little less web-worries and can focus on picking up the camera again.

Picnic at Hanging Rock

My good friend Anthony sent some shots over of a recent shoot he had.  The model Lindsay’s painting was inspired by a movie with the same name that has a very eclectic and strange feeling.

Notice the date of when the live webcast is, and when they sent it to me.  It’s a good thing I pay for my subscription to this site.  *shakes head*

Children’s Wonderland

A really beautiful concept wonderfully executed, wonderland.  I don’t even need to explain it, it’s that great.
