We would prefer to do Option 1, as that would require the least amount of effort on our end and we could ensure an on time launch. Please let us know what you think is best and we can proceed from there.

Hmm, what option should I choose.

Facebook Connect – The Flavor

This is just crazy and awesome all in one.  Facebook just got it’s own Flavor called “Connect” in the VitaminWater family.  How crazy is that for a social media site to have that kind of push?  As someone who actually drinks these, I have no choice but to go pick one up now for the full report.

via Facebook Just Got Its Own VitaminWater Flavor: “Connect”. Seriously..

Here’s a first. VitaminWater has just announced that its newest flavor will be called “Connect”, complete with a Facebook logo and a full paragraph description loaded with references to untagging, friend requests, and photo stalking. It’s black cherry-lime flavored, with caffeine and “eight key nutrients”. And it’s coming to stores nationwide in March.

The new flavor and label were a result of a contest VitaminWater has been conducting on its Facebook page over the last few months that invited fans to design their own flavors check out the video below featuring Steve Nash for an intro. Here’s the message VitaminWater used to announce the news on its Facebook page. You can blame them for the lack of capitalization:

“unlike the never-ending debate over whether it’s rock-paper-scissors or paper-rock-scissors, based on your votes and your designs, the latest flavor of vitaminwater has FINALLY been decided… introducing the black cherry-lime flavored vitaminwater named… connect! check out this new package- flavor & ingredients, name & label design- all inspired by you- our fans. it’s got 8 key nutrients plus caffeine. thanks for all your help- especially to the grand prize winner Sarah from Illinois and the four other finalist http://budurl.com/q27w. vitaminwater connect will be available in stores nationwide in march this year- so until then, stay hydrated- and keep your eyes here for news, updates and special offers for connect, including a possible sneak tasting opportunity. and btw… it’s rochambeau!”

One amusing thing worth pointing out: the bottle’s label prominently features a fingerprint on it, which isn’t really something you’d normally associate with sharing or a safe online environment. And it will look especially odd if Facebook’s privacy fiasco ever comes to a head.

Ponta dos Ganchos Resort, Brazil

I know it’s only been a little over a year since I started saving everything for our house purchase, but it feels like 10.  Of course that makes me sound like I waste all my money but that’s not what I’m getting at.  For someone like me who loves to travel, being frugal is a learning experience.  What can I say, I like making money to experience new people and places.  I was over on coolhunting.com and saw this link to the resort this morning.  That first picture just looks heavenly to me and I had to share.

I can’t wait to get this home, and start saving for trips again.  Next up on my list is either Ireland, Brazil or Spain.  Where do you want to go?

Ponta dos Ganchos Resort, Brazil

Located on a private peninsula along Brazil’s Southern coast and part of the esteemed Relaix & Chateaux group, Ponta dos Ganchos ranks among one of the world’s most exclusive resorts. With over-the-top luxurious bungalows, genuinely gracious staff, a no kids under 18 policy and plenty of activities that take advantage of the naturally lush surroundings, a trip to the hotel offers the kind of total relaxation that’s difficult to achieve otherwise.

After a car and driver delivered Ami and me from the Florianopolis airport (about an hour’s drive), a glass of champagne and several staff greeted us at reception and whisked our luggage on a golf cart to our rooms. We followed behind with the concierge who personally escorted us to go over the details, all of which are top-notch.

Our accommodations consisted of two of the four recently-opened Emerald Villas—spacious bungalows (nearly 2500 square-feet) kitted out with an infinity plunge pool, dry sauna and whirlpool bath, among other amenities. With sweeping views of the bay, dotted with Oyster traps and the occasional fishing boat, we couldn’t get enough lounging on the private deck while listening to music on the surround sound speakers (a custom CD of Brazilian music is yours for the taking) and taking frequent dips in the pool to cool off.

Indoors, a huge and inviting sectional couch (great for watching movies that are available for check-out), a king-size bed with 600 thread count sheets, as well as a Nespresso coffee maker, well-stocked minibar and wine cellar offer plenty of other options for hanging out. Other less obvious features, such as dual showers with glass walls that lend the feeling of bathing al fresco and two separate WCs, make every little experience an enjoyable one.

While the romance and seclusion of the Villas is unrivaled, Ponta dos Ganchos provides a host of other ways to enjoy your time there. We spent several hours lounging on the private beach, sipping caiprinhas and snacking on food served by the attentive staff. (All food is included while alcohol is not.) In addition to beachside dining, the seven-course breakfast, served on a deck overlooking the ocean, is a great way to enjoy a meal too. Dinners in the restaurant specialize in seafood and haute interpretations of local cuisine, which can also be reserved by couples on the private island.

A swim across the bay to the tiny island is a welcome diversion, but sailing, fishing, an indoor heated pool, tennis, snorkeling, a game room and more are all available for the taking as well. We opted for a decidedly more lazy approach and booked massages (not included in the price) at the Dior spa, which—set along the edge of the peninsula in canopied open-air rooms—was an unforgettable treat.

From the spectacular rooms to the lush landscaping and all the sumptuous details in between, Ponta dos Ganchos is high on our list of favorite destinations. To book, visit the reservations site. Rack rates start at about $530 nightly.
