About a month ago we noticed that a hummingbird was building a next right outside the back window on our deck here at the house.  The crazy thing is she started building the nest on top of a lightbulb fixture from a set of string lights we have hanging. Totally random spot. A little while later she laid 2 eggs and just last night we had twins.  I waited all morning for her to fly off to go get some food, pulled out a ladder and jumped up there with my 50mm to snap a quick shot.  These little guys aren’t even a day old.  Be sure to look at the full-size to really see all the detail. By far the highlight of my week.
