It’s been one hell of a year.

2009 in a recap for me:

  • First year of marriage to my beautiful wife
  • Moved in with my inlaws
  • Had the worst tax year ever
  • My Grandmother passed away
  • Started shopping for a home
  • Decided to re-define my business and take a huge risk
  • Dad had open heart surgery
  • Bought a home
  • Rebuilt a home
  • Father-in-law diagnosed with cancer
  • My Father diagnosed with cancer
  • Moved into our home
  • Incorporated my business
  • Hired 4 employees
  • Father passed away
  • Wife’s grandmother passes away
  • Father-in-law made it through chemo, now in remission
  • Grandfather (88 years old) falls and breaks hip
  • Grandfather makes it through surgery against all odds
  • I’m still working 18 hour days, but getting better each day.
I’m going to keep this short and to the point.  If you think you’ve had a rough year, I challenge you to top the hell my family has been through in 12 months time.  I stopped posting here because I simply needed to focus on other things, but I miss blogging dearley, moreover I miss having this one extra outlet to enjoy talking about the things that keep me going. If I could manage to stay on top of my game with all the above happening in my life, you can as well.
2010 will be a wonderful year.  On a personal level, I dont see how it can get much worse, so I’m only looking towards the best that can be brought.  And I somehow know I have the will-power to stay strong and make it happen, because there’s no room for handouts.
To a swift return, and a wonderful year to come.
Jim
